Internet Addiction Disorder
Written by: Mohd Fuad bin Kamaludin
The definition of Internet addiction disorder(IAD) refers to the problematic use of the Internet, including the various aspects of its technology, such as electronic mail (e-mail) and the World Wide Web.
There are many types of (IAD).Unlike other addictions, the various aspects of Internet addiction could be further categorized into individual groups. While they all share the same medium, the Internet, each group has their unique and distinct characteristics. Like regular medicinal practice, it is vital to be able to diagnose the correct type of Internet addiction for effective treatment.
The symptoms of it is most illnesses show symptoms indicative of its existence and IAD is no exception either. Being able to recognize the various aspects of a person’s behavior is important in catching all the hints and notions of the presence of IAD. Spotting the symptoms early would help ameliorate the treatment process before the victim gets progressively more addicted.
The cause of IAD is because of addiction of cybercafe and the the effect that release by graphic intensive online games like Battlefield 2142 has lead to innumerable teenagers getting hooked onto the Internet. Blogging and Youtube are also some of the temptations that many individuals find it difficult to resist. However, these are just the apparent reasons. There are a lot more than what meets the eye. Dr. Kimberly S. Young once commented, "Even for people who don't manifest addictive behavior, the Internet is almost an invitation to obsession."
As a CONCLUSION,
The Internet is not the enemy just because people become dependent on it. It has many important and necessary benefits. It is fast, ecologically sound, convenient, and informative. In many ways it makes our lives much simpler. In many ways it makes our lives more complex. The Internet provides an escape from reality and everyday problems just like alcohol or drugs. Some argue that the interaction with other people on the Internet fills a social void. People can assume new identities; others interact with that identity and the person may assume these on-line relationships are the same as the real thing. It becomes a problem when people become so engrossed and enmeshed in on-line activities, and their "other" lives to the point of neglecting their health, relationships, jobs, and other responsibilities. As with many of life's pleasures, moderation is the key.

My first week at UiTM

Assalamualaikum...
This my first time to write my own blog in the internet.
I have heard of people making blog for many times but i dont know how to make it..
Today,
I have the opportunity to write a blog at Makmal 11 at UiTM Shah Alam.
so, i would like to write about my first week at UiTM.
At 26 June 2009,
It is all began when i registered at Kolej Jati at Seksyen 2 near the UiTM campus.
It was quite a nervous day for me because i'll now become a student of a university that was a well known among people in Malaysia.
So, i get the key for my room.
It was a big house with 3 rooms.
Each room contain 2 person equipment.
So i have to tidy up my room at Block C in Kolej Jati.
All the feelings gone slowly when i get to meet my friend of my previous Matriculation kolej.
it was not a busy day because we just have to registered for the room only.
we are going to registered as a student of UiTM beginning tomorrow.
So, all of us had to get to prepare for the next day.
It as not a comfortable sleep for me for the new environment.
It was 6.30 a.m when i woke up.
Then i pray for the Subuh and get to prepare things for my registration at Dewan Seri Budiman.
It was so many people at the DSB from all college around UiTM.
The registration going nicely without any error occur.
Then we go back to our college to began our MMS that is "Minggu Mesra Siswa".
At the evening, we have to go to stadium UiTM for a "Senam Seni ala Malaysia".
It was a shocking event for us because we get a visitation from our Prime Minister that is also together with us to do the exercise.
Then, after doing all the exercise, we go back to our college to relax and go for Maghrib prayer together.
For the next day onward,
we have to attend the speach from many organization such as Bito Tatanegara, college organization and also from our faculty its own.
All the activities that we're organize was very meaningful for us for our study in UiTM.
The MMS was well organize by our "PM" or also known as facilitator.
We had a wonderful time doing activities together.
I had also have a chance to meet new friend not even in college but also at the Faculty.
A week of MMS was to short for us to get to know the situation in UiTM.
We have been told by the PM that the life in UiTM is very toughfull and they give us so much advice to make sure we are not going to fall at the end of the day...
The MMS week has end for one week.
now, i'm sitting on the chair infront of this computer to write a blog to be sent to Mdm Suzana Baharudin.
